We opened our family-owned bar and restaurant in 2002 with a desire to provide a comfortable space to enjoy world class beer and outstanding pub food. Since that day, our focus has remained sharing the traditions of Belgian, German, and American artisanal beers. We started by creating the simple neighborhood bar where we’d want to drink, and have been incredibly lucky to become a destination amongst beer aficionados.

We believe in supporting our local breweries, farms, and producers the way that the people of Brookline, MA support us. We are grateful to have such a loyal clientele who have kept us going through the past two years of the pandemic, and the 18 years preceding that. Our diverse, knowledgeable, friendly, and hardworking team are the final piece of the puzzle, making The Publick House what it is. With our amazing community, we continually strive for improvement and are ever grateful to our guests for coming along on the ride.
